In website design, a landing page refers to a page that is set up to be the first page a visitor enters the site with, in most cases, a specific goal of converting that visitor into a customer, subscriber, or sign up. Most landing pages do this by grabbing the visitor's attention using a catchy headline, briefly explaining their product or service, and ultimately giving them a so-called 'call to action'. This call to action can be a short form, an email signup field, or simply a button to go to another page.
