Saul Bass

Saul Bass is probably one of the best known and most influential designers ever. He is known for his incredible work in film poster design, designing the famous “The Shining” poster, and the many brand identity designs and logos that he created and are still used to this day. Some of his most famous logo designs include those of AT&T, United Airlines, Quaker Oats, Kleenex, Dixie, Warner Communications and many more. He even worked on some films and was even credited the role as “pictioral consultant” in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho”, helping in constructing the shower murdering sequence. This shows how wide the impact was of his work.

Paul Rand

Alongside Saul Bass, Paul Rand is one of the most well known and respected designers of the 20th century. He was most known for his logo design which are still used today and some of the most recognized logos in the world. His most famous works include the logos of IBM, ABC and UPS.

Michael Bierut

While Paul Rand and Saul Bass were some of the most influential designers of the 20th century, Michael Bierut’s work has more influence on the modern design world. His most recent and probably one of his most famous works is the logo design for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. He also worked on the new Mastercard rebrand and the famous Saks Fifth Avenue logo.

Paula Scher

Paula Scher has an incredibly wide variety of work. Besides being a graphic designer Paula Scher is also a painter, educator and writer. She has won many awards as a designer and she also served as the first female principal at the design firm Pentagram. Some of her most famous works include the logo for Windows 8 and the new brand identity for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa).

David Carson

David Carson is an American designer, best known for his use of typography and his innovative graphic design work, particularly the designs of magazines is what he was most known for. Carson started his own design agency where he attracted a lot of very big clients. The list of clients he has worked for includes companies like: Pepsi Cola, Ray Ban, Nike, Microsoft, Budweiser, Giorgio Armani, NBC, American Airlines and Levi Strauss Jeans.

Milton Glaser

Milton Glaser is a designer from New York City. He has a lot of famous work he but the logo he is probably most known for is the “I ❤ NY”-logo which he created.

Stefan Sagmeister

Stefan Sagmeister is a graphic designer, storyteller and typographer from Austria. He has designed many album covers for famous music artists like The Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Jay Z, and Pat Metheny. He was even awarded two grammys for his album cover designs.
