It might be a personal preference but I think it's still a good practice to make website fonts more sans-serif and modern.

A suggestion can be make the trails for Trace solid since this is a logo and maybe add elements that can emphasize the industry of Cruise Trace (whatever that may be)

Is this a color preference by the (fake) client? If not, maybe try other colors that would represent class, glamour or quality.

I didn't have the longer brief, it's just "do a logo for waveroom" so I used the "wave" element for the wordmark logo.
