The Strand Society logo features a flowing “S” icon inspired by strands of hair, paired with an elegant, slightly italic serif wordmark. Cherry red adds a fun, confident pop, while cream and cocoa create a polished, modern finish.
The description of what and why is good. The execution looks too "generic" though, to be specific it looks we took a existing logomark and put it next to a random font, might not be true and if not the problem ia the dynamic between the two. It is a good start for ideation but to take this to the next level i would suggest getting rid of deadspace in the font (looking at more fonts too perhaps use two different ones as well). And since you have an S there in the logomark, perhaps try to work out something from that in terms of a font for the wordmark. Could perhaps also work as a badge if that icon took center stage and have to text in a different more readable font circling around it it. Well just some ideas but you have a good start but i would put 20% more into it, the devil is in the details, anyway, keep on truckin ^^
The typography and 'S' icon design are nice, but the colors make the overall logo look a bit bland. It needs more vibrance to stand out. Adding brighter contrast or reworking the secondary colors would really help elevate the brand's presence
Thank you for your feedback! I initially tried using brighter colors, but they made the design feel too playful. I wanted to keep the logo looking clean and professional, while still giving it enough contrast and visual interest.
