Thank you for the feedback. I put the star there because it's a distinctive characteristic that relates to the bakery's name. I don't think the croissant being in the shape of a crescent moon is enough on its own because a croissant for a bakery logo is a bit overdone. I believe that adding the star adds more personality to the logo. That being said, maybe the star could have been smaller and sat within the center of the croissant.
