“Under the Tree of Memories” Setting: A quiet city park in the late afternoon. Golden leaves blanket the ground. A worn-out bench under a large tree takes center stage.
Hello, My name is Marcelene. I'm looking for a writer. I would like a script for a scene in which two old lovers finally reunite again. Would you be able to take this on?
Scene Begins
(Arman sits on the park bench, flipping through his small notebook. He gazes into the distance, as if waiting for something. The sound of footsteps approaches. Lila appears, stopping a few meters away from him.)
Lila
(softly, almost whispering)
Arman?
(Arman lifts his head slowly. He freezes for a moment, eyes widening. Then he stands, visibly nervous.)
Arman
(voice trembling)
Lila... I thought this would only happen in my dreams.
Lila
(smiling faintly, walking closer)
Maybe we’ve finally woken up from that dream.
(They stand facing each other. A moment of silence passes, the only sound is the rustling of leaves in the breeze.)
Arman
(looking down, then back at her)
Thirty years, and you still look just as I remember.
Lila
(softly laughing, her eyes glistening)
Thirty years... and I kept searching for a reason to come back here.
Arman
(sighing deeply)
You didn’t need a reason. This place has always been waiting for you, just like I have.
Lila
(glancing at the old bench, then back at Arman)
Do you remember what you said the last time we sat here?
Arman
(smiling wistfully)
I said, “If we’re meant to be, time won’t erase us.”
Lila
(whispering, her eyes filling with tears)
And I said, “I hope you’re right.”
(A quiet pause envelops them. Arman slowly extends his hand. Lila hesitates for a moment, then takes it. They sit together on the old bench.)
Arman
(softly, almost to himself)
I’ve always come back here, hoping.
Lila
(smiling gently, looking at him)
And I finally found my way back.
(They look at each other, their eyes filled with warmth and the quiet relief of healed regret. The camera slowly pulls back, showing them sitting side by side on the bench, under the tree shedding golden leaves.)
