Hey, I am Marty, I recently started a new business called Marty's Gym. I'm looking for someone that can make a good logo for my business. I think a lettermark will fit best. Can you help us out?

I would get rid of the icon- it is cliche and hard to see, it is not very defined. Since the brief says a word mark for the logo, I would just delete the image and work on 'buffing up' the word mark. no pun intended lol!
